An executive-in-residence with Progress Partners since 2023, Christopher “Chris” Carlson assists the investment bank in technology, advertisement, and general media outreach transactions. Chris Carlson also has a broad professional history in commerce and finance.
His experience includes tenures as a portfolio manager with UBS, vice president, and co-head of European proprietary trading with Deutsche Bank. Mr. Carlson also founded and presided over the regulated fund management platform Caesium Capital. In addition to his active role with Progress Partners, he serves as an advisor or mentor for several organizations, including business accelerators and nonprofits that promote entrepreneurialism.
Mr. Carlson partnered with other entrepreneurs to establish the Venture Partnership Foundation, which has donated more than $100 million to charities worldwide. He shared his expertise as the presenter of two MarTech Record webinars: “Using Affiliate to Capture Value from All Marketing Activity” in 2022 and “How to Build a Commerce Media Business” in 2023.
